Head of the KIU bloc: The referendum needs formal negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad

Head of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in the Iraqi Parliament pointed out that the Iraqi government did not disclose its official opinion on the referendum of the Kurdistan Region, and stresses that the referendum on independence need formal negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad.

Head of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in the Iraqi Parliament Muthanna Amin in an interview with him, said that the Iraqi public opinion does not support the referendum of the region , and the Iraqi Shiite parties describe it as a "red line."

He pointed out that Iraq is not the property of the "Shiite National Alliance" alone, explaining the need to deal with the violating voices on the basis of citizenship and human rights and democracy.

It is noteworthy that the Shiite National Alliance headed by Ammar al-Hakim has expressed his rejection of the referendum during a meeting with a number of Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
