The joint delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party on Monday visited the Kurdistan Islamic Union and after a meeting between the two sides the issue of referendum and the activation of the legitimate institutions of the Kurdistan Region have been discussed.
After the meeting at a press conference, Hadi Ali, official of the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union and Rose Nuri Shaways on behalf of the joint delegation of the PUK and the Democratic Party pointed to the content of the meeting between the two sides.
At the press conference Hadi Ali announced the Kurdistan Islamic Union confirmed its support for the referendum and explicitly stressed the activation of the Parliament of Kurdistan and the normalization of political situations.
For his part, Rose Nuri Shaways pointed out that the priority of them is the referendum before the activation of the Kurdistan Parliament because the situation is sensitive and should accelerate in the issue and we can continue efforts for the normalization of political situations.
He stressed that the holding of the referendum before the activation of the Kurdistan Parliament from the legal point of view does not have any problem.
