The Chairman of the Leadership Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union sent a congratulatory letter to Dr. Ali Qaradaghi on his election as the President of the International Union for Muslim Scholars.

"It is a great honor for the Kurdish Muslim people in general and Kurdistan's Islamists in particular. I wish them continued prosperity and success," the letter said.
The sixth congress of the International Union for Muslim Scholars is being held in Doha, Qatar, On December 8, 2024, Professor Dr. Ali Qaradaghi was elected president of the union with 91% of the votes.
