A delegation of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Relations Bureau visited the European Union's Liaison Office in Erbil today September 20, 2023, and was received by Torkild Byg, Head of the the European Union's Liaison Office in Erbil.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq and exchanged views on this issue.
The delegation of the Kurdistan Islamic Union presented its political views to Torkild Byg about the problems and crises in the Kurdistan Region and the problems between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
For his part, Byg thanked the delegation and expressed his agreement with the views and positions of the KIU and hoped that the elections would be held on time and the problems would be resolved.
Both sides emphasized the continuation of relations and their development for the benefit of the people of the region and the development of democracy, human rights, and freedoms.
