The Media Network of the Kurdistan Islamic Union issued a statement on the 125th anniversary of the Kurdish press, which coincides this year with the blessed Ramadan feast.
The network said in its statement, "On this occasion, we extend our warmest congratulations to all journalists and media professionals in Kurdistan."
Added, "We hope that the conditions of the press and media in Kurdistan will witness progress in terms of freedom of expression and that journalists will overcome the obstacles set before them."
Concluded its statement by saying, "We renew our congratulations and hope that the Kurdish press will witness a new phase of building trust and credibility between the media and the masses."
