Kurdistan Islamic Union wins 4 seats in the Iraqi parliament

According to the preliminary results obtained by Kurdiu, the Kurdistan Islamic Union managed to obtain 4 seats in the Iraqi parliament.

After the start of the preliminary counting of votes, according to the official preliminary results figures announced by the Independent High Electoral Commission, the Kurdistan Islamic Union obtained two seats in Dohuk governorate and two other seats in the governorates of Halabja and Sulaymaniyah.

According to what was announced by the Electoral Commission, the union's candidates, "Jamal Kucher" and "Omar Kucher", won the necessary votes to obtain two seats in the Iraqi parliament.

In Halabja, the candidate of the Union, "Dr. Muthanna Amin", was able to obtain enough votes that qualify him to win a seat in the Iraqi Parliament, while the fourth candidate in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate, "Dara Sekanyani" was also able to obtain sufficient votes to qualify him to win a seat in Parliament.
