The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, under the supervision of the Secretary-General, held a regular meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary-General Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaaudin shed light on the situation in the region in general and the Kurdistan region in particular.
Then they discussed the financial and economic conditions in the Kurdistan region, calling for the end of employee salaries' deduction.
The Council expressed its concern over the recent events on the Iraqi-Syrian border, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and not be drawn into military confrontations.
The Council condemned the recent attacks on the city of Erbil, describing them as acts of sabotage.
With regard to the upcoming Iraqi legislative elections, the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union called on all citizens to actively participate in the elections.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council extended its thanks and gratitude to all the institutions of the Kurdistan Islamic Union for their great effectiveness in recent times and their continuous activity.
