A spokesman for the Kurdistan Islamic Union, on Monday, denied the news published by the "Draw Media" website about KIU receiving sums of money from the parties in power.
The official spokesman said, "We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union deny altogether and in detail all that was mentioned in the news about our receipt of certain amounts per month from the parties of the authority," stressing that "there is no basis for the news."
The spokesman demanded all media institutions' "accuracy in publishing information and not resorting to misinformation and publishing news that has no basis."
He added, "The Kurdistan Islamic Union reserves its legal right to register a complaint over such fabricated news."
