Kurdistan Islamic Union rejects the formation of "Kurdistan Regional Council"

Head of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Thursday, confirmed that the Kurdistan region does not need to establish another political institution.

"No one has spoken to us to form a new institution in the Kurdistan region," Hadi Ali told Kurdiu , adding "I believe that the Kurdistan region does not need an additional institution in its system of government with the existence parliament, government and the presidency of the region."

Ali explained that "the Kurdistan Islamic Union with the strengthening and support of constitutional institutions in the Kurdistan region to be able to take appropriate decisions in the positions faced by the region."

Earlier, head of the Kurdistan Socialist Party, Mohammed Haji Mahmoud presented a proposal for the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Council for the Kurdish parties headed by Massoud Barzani.
