Kurdistan Islamic Union, on Sunday, denied receiving any post in the presidency of the Kurdistan region, stressing that this news is not true at all.
This came in a brief statement issued by the spokesman of the Kurdistan Islamic Union.
The statement comes in response to news published by the newspaper (Zhyan), and the website of (KNN) channel.
A spokesman for the Kurdistan Islamic Union said that "The newspaper Zhyan and the KNN site published a report without follow-up that the Islamic Union took a post in the presidency of the Kurdistan region, we confirm that the news is baseless at all, and that the news is misleading."
The spokesman added that the Islamic Union is the first party declared after the legislative elections in the region to adopt the role of the political opposition and parliamentary, and it plays this role professionally. "
