Expected meeting for the leadership council of the Islamic Union to discuss withdrawal from the political process in Iraq
The Kurdistan Islamic Union announced on Sunday that it is considering withdrawing from the political process in Iraq after announcing the election results and ignoring complaints about fraud and manipulation of the results.
Hadi Ali, spokesman for the Kurdistan Islamic Union, said: "The leadership council of the Union will hold a meeting as soon as possible to discuss the withdrawal from the political process in Iraq."
He added: "The issue of withdrawal from the political process comes after fraud of votes in the region, and to ignore the Electoral Commission and the Iraqi authorities complaints in this regard."
