Kurdistan Islamic Union announces its position on withdrawal from the government

The Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) is due to announce its stance on withdrawing from the government on Monday, following the end of a deadline for the government to make administrative and political reforms.

Leading member in the Kurdistan Islamic Union Omar Muhammad in an interview with Kurdiu, said that the Political Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union will hold a meeting on Monday, 15/1/2018, to discuss the response of the authorities to the demands of the Islamic Union for reform within the government.

He added that the leadership council announced its position on withdrawal from the government or not during the tomorrow's meeting .

It is noteworthy that the Kurdistan Islamic Union has given the Government of the Territory for 20 days to carry out administrative reforms, and submitted a memorandum to the Government in this regard.
