The Kurdistan Islamic Union declares to stay in the government on conditions

The Kurdistan Islamic Union stay in the government until the authorities respond to the demands of citizens, and announce 15/1/2018 as the deadline.

Head of the Political Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Hadi Ali on Sunday 24/12/2017 During his reading of the final statement of the session of the Council, he said that the Islamic Union decided to stay in the government to defend the rights of citizens, especially employees, pointing out that they gave the region government a period to respond to the conditions of the party to announce its final position on whether to withdraw from the government or not.

The statement called for the formation of a parliamentary committee to follow up the violations took place in the cities of the region during the recent demonstrations, stressing at the same time the importance of the release of all detainees in recent events, as well as the authorities' response to the legitimate demands of demonstrators, especially the distribution of salaries of employees in the government sector.
