Sulaymaniyah office of the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union issued a statement and announced support for the demands of the demonstrators.
"We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union declare our full support to the demands of the citizens of the Kurdistan Region and we hope to response the Kurdistan Regional Government to the demands as soon as possible and ensure the salaries of employees in general and on time and take quick steps in this regard".
"At the same time, we demand that the demonstrations be peaceful and away from violent."
