Salahuddin Mohammed Bahawaldin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, received today Monday, February 19, 2024, Romeo Hakari, Secretary-General of the Democratic Party of Beit Nahrin, and an accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed the situation in Iraq and the region and stressed the legitimate rights of the components as indigenous citizens of Kurdistan.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the KIU stressed pointed to the crisis in the region and the need to correct the mistakes and irregularities in crisis management .. Also appreciated the role of the Beit Nahrin party in positive participation in the political process and protecting the coexistence of religious and ethnic communities.
The Secretary-General of the Beit Nahrin party thanked the influential role of the Kurdistan Islamic Union in the balance of the political process and issues in the region and called on them to continue on their unchanged position of reconciliation and moderation.
