The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaaudin, confirmed on Wednesday that the authorities in the Kurdistan region turn a deaf ear to the demands of the street and do not care about the suffering of the people.
The Secretary-General's statement came during his participation in the ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the declaration of the Kurdistan Islamic Union in the city of Sulaymaniyah, where he indicated that "the situation in the region has reached the worst levels, and the authorities are not taking a step toward resolving the issues."
He added, "The worst thing is that the authorities do not realize that they are wrong and do not listen to opposition voices, which is a dangerous matter."
He stressed, "We will continue our support for the people and will not despair in finding solutions to the problems and crossing to safety."
