The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, confirmed on Friday that the authorities’ indifference had pushed the situation towards deterioration and reached where we are now.
This came during a speech delivered by the Secretary-General to the Supreme Council of the Development Organization, in which he stressed that “the Development Organization is a broad public organization, but it does not lack a program and strategy. Rather, it works to expand learning among the nation’s youth,” noting that “the Kurdistan Islamic Union supports these activities and is happy with the development and successful steps.”
He added, "We thank God that the activities of the Development Organization have had a very positive impact," stressing that "the Development Organization is a growing part of the Kurdistan Islamic Union."
Regarding the boycott and protests by teachers and employees in the Kurdistan region, the Secretary-General said, “The authority’s indifference made things deteriorate for the worse and reach where we are now.”
