As part of his tour in the capital, Baghdad, the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation, on Wednesday, visited the Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation in Iraq, the Kurdistan region, and the region, especially the unfortunate events in Gaza and the killing and displacement that the population is exposed to.
On the other hand, the two parties discussed the disputes between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, while Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin stressed the need for the leaders in Iraq to support the demands of employees and salary recipients in the region and end their suffering, calling on al-Khazali to support resolving the thorny issues between Baghdad and Erbil.
Qais Al-Khazali stressed that the two sides must take into account rights and duties and find appropriate solutions between Baghdad and Erbil within the legal and constitutional framework, especially the file of salaries of the region’s employees.
