Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation visited On Wednesday the Qatari ambassador in Baghdad, Sultan bin Mubarak al-Kubaisi.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, the region, and the Islamic world, and the Secretary-General appreciated the role of the State of Qatar in its services to the Islamic world, especially the Gaza issue and providing assistance to it.
He stressed the necessity of the presence of the State of Qatar in the Kurdistan region, welcoming the opening of the Qatari consulate in the region. In return, the Qatari ambassador thanked the visit of the delegation of the Kurdistan Islamic Union to the embassy.
