As part of his tour in the capital, Baghdad, the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation visited, on Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General stressed the need for coordination and dialogue between Iraqi political forces to resolve the outstanding issues in a way that helps stabilize the country and secure the rights of citizens.
For his part, the President of the Republic touched on the political situation in Iraq in general and developments in the political arena, stressing the need for unity among the political forces for the security and stability of the country, as well as the need to continue the dialogue between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to resolve the outstanding issues and find appropriate solutions for them by the constitution and the law.
