The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, received on Saturday the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in the Kurdistan region, Iraq, and the region, while Bafel Talabani shed light on the proceedings of the General Conference of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
For his part, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin stressed that the political situation in the world and the region in particular needs a stand and unfortunately, the Kurdish leaders have not taken the necessary measures in this regard.
He stressed the need to hold the Kurdistan Parliament elections on the scheduled date and for the process to be under the supervision of the United Nations, away from manipulation and fraud.
