Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation visited, on Monday, the Shahrazur area in Sulaymaniyah.
In a speech during an inspection visit to the Union branch in New Halabja and Zarayen, Secretary-General said, "What is happening in the Kurdistan region is starvation of the people, and that cutting salaries is an unjust plan by the authorities."
He added, "The measures taken by the authorities will inevitably lead to an increase in poverty, and therefore poverty opens many doors towards ruin. Unfortunately, the authorities do not care about these results."
Secretary-General confirmed that "many bet on the failure of the Kurdistan Islamic Union's experiment, but their bet was for nothing and they were disappointed by what they thought."
