Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation continued on Thursday, their tour in Halabja Governorate by inspecting the party’s organizations in the Sirwan and Khormal branches.
In a speech, Secretary-General said, "In addition to the existence of several stifling crises and political and economic problems, the youth in the Kurdistan region are facing decadent and strange ideas with organized programs."
He added, "We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union and as long as we are, we will continue to support young people and direct them for the better, so parents should beware of the changes facing society."
He stressed that "Unfortunately, unemployment is widespread among a large percentage of young people, which has made them easy prey to despair of a decent life in their country, and they prefer the path of death abroad than staying in the country because of mismanagement and the absence of justice."
In another meeting with a number of sisters of the Khurmal branch, He stressed "the necessity of family cohesion and preserving it from the causes of disintegration."
