Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, received this Wednesday, December 22, 2021, the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Ali Reza Günay, and Hakan Karacay, the Turkish consul in the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political developments in Iraq, Kurdistan Region, and the region, especially after the recent Iraqi elections, where the two sides stressed the need for stability and independence of the country and to confront ISIS.
In another part of the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between Turkey, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region and their development.
The Turkish ambassador to Iraq, for his part, congratulated the Kurdistan Islamic Union on the occasion of its victory in the Iraqi elections that took place in October of this year and wished them more progress and expressed his grief over the recent floods that hit Erbil.
For his part, Secretary-General expressed his thanks for the visit of the Turkish ambassador and wished him success in his duties as ambassador of a pivotal country.
