Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, received today, Monday, May 24, 2021, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, James Burnon.
The two sides discussed during the meeting the internal conditions of the Kurdistan Region. They also discussed the position of the Kurdistan Islamic Union on intellectual issues, the educational aspect, and reform in educating the individual and society towards serving the homeland.
In another part of the meeting, they discussed individual and partisan freedoms, respect for human rights and freedom of expression, steps towards building a state of institutions, the role of regional countries and the world in support of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, election management, stability and coexistence.
