Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, on Tuesday, met with the cadres and members of the Union in Chamchamal.
Secretary-General, in a speech delivered during the meeting, referred to the financial conditions that citizens live in in the Kurdistan region, saying, "It was incumbent upon the parties of the authority in the region to deal with a spirit of responsibility with regard to the citizens 'sustenance and employees' salaries."
"The government reform project was ineffective and did not resolve the corruption and lack of transparency of resources, as well as the salaries of illegal beneficiaries," he added.
