Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahuddin Mohammad Bahauddin on Wednesday in the city of Erbil received "Grigori Morrison" Deputy US Consul in Erbil.
The delegation offered congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the declaration of the Kurdistan Islamic Union and pointed out that the Islamic Union is a current necessity for the political arena ,in the past stages it played an important role in solving the problems of Kurdistan Region and maintaining social peace.
For his part, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union welcomed this visit and wished that the United States play its role as an important force in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in resolving the problems between Erbil and Baghdad.
