Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahuddin Mohammed Bahaauddin congratulated the people in the Kurdistan Region, and the world on the occasion of the success of the referendum process on independence, and the announcement of its results.
Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin said in his telegram that the people of Kurdistan have said its word in this democratic ceremony, pointing out the importance of continuing efforts to fight corruption, and consolidate the principles of reform, correct track and improve the living conditions of citizens.
The Secretary-General expressed the hope that the free people of the world, States and international and regional organizations would respect the choice of the people of Kurdistan, appealing at the same time to political parties and Islamic and humanitarian organizations to support the decision of the people of Kurdistan.
The Secretary-General stressed also on the support of the Kurdistan Islamic Union to continue the political process, stressing at the same time that his party does not wait thanks from anyone, continuing "our heart filled with sincerity and patriotism".
