The Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc , on Wednesday, issued a statement calling for holding meetings of the Parliament of Kurdistan under its temporary chairmanship.
The bloc in its statement, said that "after about 3 months on the first meeting of the fifth session of the parliament of Kurdistan, unfortunately, the negotiations to form a new government by the parties involved in it, is going very slowly," adding that "to date has not been selected the Presidency of Parliament and parliamentary committees , Which impede the political life in the region and harm the interests of citizens.
The statement called for "the establishment of an urgent meeting between the interim presidency of the parliament and the heads of parliamentary blocs to come out of a unified position and pressure on the concerned parties to exercise parliament oversight role," stressing that "there must be pressure to end the political situation outstanding in the region."
