The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union held its regular meeting in Erbil on Monday 28/8/2023 under the chairmanship of Salahuddin Mohammed Bahauddin, Secretary General.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the KIU highlighted the internal situation of the party and said thank Allah that the work and activities are being conducted in a solid manner and within the work program of this session, and thanked the councils, institutions, and centers of the party.
In another part of the meeting, the political situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region were discussed. The KIU Executive Council expressed its concern about the delay in the budget and salaries that the federal government must implement its obligations under the budget law, The Executive Council considered it necessary for the Kurdistan Region to be seriously concerned about the livelihood of its citizens and the lack of basic services such as electricity, water, fuel, and other services.
The meeting also stressed that the internal conflicts have become a weakness of the region and the internal reorganization of Kurdistan's situation and accelerate the preparations for holding fair elections.
