A spokesman for the KIU reveals the outcomes of the Turkish Foreign Minister's visit

The spokesman for the Kurdistan Islamic Union revealed On Thursday the outcomes of the Turkish Foreign Minister's visit and his meeting with the Secretary-General, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin and his accompanying delegation.

Khalil Ibrahim told reporters after the Turkish Foreign Minister's visit that the visit comes as part of the minister's tour of Iraq and the Kurdistan region, and as part of his series of visits to a number of parties and institutions.

He added that the Kurdistan Islamic Union has good relations with all parties and political forces in the Islamic world, especially the Turkish forces and the Justice and Development Party with an Islamic background, and these relations are solid and not a spur of the moment.

He stressed that the meeting discussed several political, economic and security aspects, the energy file, the water file, trade, and even humanitarian relief files between the Kurdistan region and Iraq on the one hand, and the Turkish Republic on the other.

He pointed out that the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, stressed the need to solve all problems between the two countries by peaceful means, which guarantees reconciliation of citizens between the two neighboring countries, respect for the sovereignty of Iraq and the Kurdistan region, and resort to peace and dialogue to resolve all differences away from the sound of bullets and wars.

The Turkish Foreign Minister confirmed that efforts are underway to solve all outstanding problems and that there are joint committees formed between the two parties to reach solutions that satisfy both parties.
