We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union consider the issue of rewarding the killer of Dr. Hoshyar Ismail as a great break to the dignity of the court and the rule of law. It also facilitates the spread of crime, lawlessness and social unrest. Unfortunately, instead of carrying out the death penalty for murderers, they are rewarded.
We are concerned and condemn this illegal act.
What has been done in this case, instead of executing the killer! They award him and are proud of him in the media. This is a provocation and insult to the family, scholars, students and colleagues of martyr Dr. Hoshyar.
Unfortunately, the authorities repeatedly promised to carry out the death penalty for the killers of Dr. Hoshyar, but not only they did not carry it out, but they rewarded them.
Therefore, we call on the prosecutor general not to accept this disrespect to the court decisions and the authorities should no longer insult the rights of the oppressed and the court decisions.
We strongly condemn this illegal act and it is an insult to human rights and applicable laws.
