The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, headed by Secretary-General Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, held a regular meeting on Tuesday in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
Secretary-General began the meeting by discussing the political and economic situation in the Kurdistan region and Iraq, the lack of services, the delay in employee salaries, the high market prices, and the accumulation of crises.
He also shed light on his tour and the accompanying delegation to Baghdad, and his series of visits to officials.
The meeting also discussed the meeting of the Kurdish political parties with the United Nations representation in Iraq, as well as with the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, and the ongoing preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He referred to the recent developments in the Iraqi political process, the latest of which was the mass resignation of the Sadrist bloc in the Iraqi parliament, stressing that this decision complicates the political process and efforts to form the new government.
