Kurdistan Islamic Union: The two parties in power must review their positions

The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union held its regular meeting today, Sunday in Erbil, headed by Salahuddin Muhammad Bahauddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union. The Council shed light on the political situation of the region and Iraq and the latest developments, and the issue of electing the President of the Republic of Iraq was discussed, through the meeting, expressed deep concern over the disintegration of the Kurdish House and the conflict by the two ruling parties on the issue of the presidency.

The Executive Council stressed that the two parties in power should review their positions as quickly as possible and agree on a common nominate to prevent the further disintegration of the Kurdish inner house and not force us to take another position.

In another part of the meeting, preparations for the 28th anniversary of the Kurdistan Islamic Union declaration on February 6, 2022, were discussed, and a decision was made about a special program for the anniversary.

The meeting also discussed the internal situation of the party and its activities.
