Kurdistan Islamic Union announces its non-participation in the next Iraqi government

The leadership council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, headed by Dr. Hadi Ali and in the presence of the Secretary-General, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, held his regular meeting on Thursday. At the end of the meeting, issued a statement about the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council highlighted the early Iraqi legislative elections, and the deserved victory of the Kurdistan Islamic Union candidates.

The Council extended its thanks and gratitude to the masses that voted for the union's candidates despite the boycott of a large group of citizens, and renewed its thanks and gratitude to all the union's institutions that participated in the success of the union's candidates.

In another part, the Council discussed the events and developments after the elections and stressed the consistent and principled policy of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, which is the strong defender of the Kurdistan region and the higher interests of the people.

As for the talks informing the next Iraqi government, the Leadership Council decided not to participate the Kurdistan Islamic Union in it, and it will continue its struggle to obtain the rights of the people.

In another part , the Council stressed the responsibility of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the high prices of basic commodities for citizens, and affirmed its support for the teachers, lecturers and contract employees, calling on the Regional Government to appoint them to the permanent.
