The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, on Saturday, issued a statement on the ongoing military battles between the PKK and Turkish forces on the territory of the Kurdistan region.
The council said in its statement that "unfortunately, unarmed civilians pay the battle tax between the Turkish army and PKK elements," explaining that "all parties, whether internal or external, do nothing but return the same previous words and have nothing to change things."
Added, "We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union, in addition to our dissatisfaction and rejection of this unequal war, announce to all parties and let everyone know that our position is consistent by rejecting military and security solutions to problems," stressing that they worked hard to communicate their position.
The council added in its statement that "such wars do not have the desired results, and they only end with the ruin of the homeland and the people in Kurdistan, it is a drain on the energy of citizens and has no end." pointed out that "it is not permissible for any party that permitted itself and in the name of the national struggle to cause disasters to the people and the homeland. "
The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union concluded its statement by saying, "The dialogue and negotiation table is the only way to solve all just issues", explaining that "even if the dialogue is few or rare, their results are much better than other solutions."
