In this regard, a spokesman for the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Khalil Ibrahim said in a statement to Kurdiu , on Wednesday, that "the Islamic Union considers the decision of the Kirkuk Court against the head of the Kirkuk Provincial Council Ribawar Talabani is not based on the foundations of the rule of law and violates the neutrality of the judiciary," explaining that " The court is a political and revenge of Ribwar Talabani towards his national positions and the services he gave to the people of Kirkuk. "
"After the events of October 16, 2017, certain parties by political motives are working to take revenge on the national figures," the spokesman said.
"The Kurdistan Islamic Union expresses its dissatisfaction with the decision of the court," he said, adding that "they will take all legal and political ways to correct the decision.
