The Political Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union in a statement issued Sunday, expressed its concern over the Turkish army's attack with the armed groups in Syria backed by Turkey on the city of Afrin and called on the Turkish Presidency to stop these military attacks and resort to the political solution ,peaceful dialogue.
"We in the Kurdistan Islamic Union are concerned about the military attacks by Turkey and a number of Syrian armed groups on the city of Afrin, which is causing great damage to the citizens and worsening the situation in the region more," the statement said.
"We call on the Turkish presidency to stop these attacks as soon as possible in order to prepare the atmosphere for stability and peace in the region and solve problems through political solution and peaceful dialogue," the statement said.
