The leadership council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union headed by Said Ali Abbou, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Islamic Union Salahuddin Mohammed Bahaauddin, held its regular meeting on Saturday, 18/11/2017, in the city of Erbil.
The meeting of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union expressed sadness at the displacement of hundreds of Kurds families in the areas of Tuzkurmato, Kirkuk and others during the recent events, expressing at the same time regretted the martyrdom of a number of citizens, and others injured by the earthquake that hit many areas of Kurdistan last week.
The leadership council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union saw the need to form a transitional government to maintain the unity of the Kurdish row , and reform, to improve the living conditions of citizens, stressing the importance of sending a delegation to Baghdad to negotiate with the central government on the financial dues of the region and constitutional rights.
The meeting renewed the adherence of the Kurdistan Islamic Union to the option of dialogue to end the differences among the Kurdish political parties to get out of the outstanding crises.
