During a meeting with members of the General Shura Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union in Sulaimani, Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), said this afternoon Monday 5-9-2022, that the Islamic identity of the Kurdish people and the high values of Kurdish society and opposition to ideas, traditions, and cultures opposed to morality and identity of our people is our priority.
In another part of his speech, the Secretary-General of the KIU highlighted the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and pointed out that the unresolved two-administration has had a complete impact on the lives of citizens, especially in the Sulaimani region.
Unfortunately, after decades of conflict, a radical solution to the conflicts between the parties has not been found so that citizens do not become a victim.
At the end of his speech, the Secretary-General explained that the goals are to postpone the elections, which is worrying.
However, the Kurdistan Region officials must prevent the delay from taking too long and determine the date of the elections as soon as possible.
