Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.
In his message, Secretary-General said, "I congratulate ourselves and all Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, the Islamic nation and mankind on the Islamic New Year. I hope we welcome the year of success."
He added, "I hope that the New Year will be the year of migration from slavery, dependency and laziness to pride, dignity, activity and high ambition."
He stressed that "the memory of migration is an educational school and a major turning point in human history," stressing that "migration was the beginning of a major change in all areas of civilization, education and awareness, the beginning of the establishment of the city state and the constitution of coexistence."
He pointed out, "On this occasion, we affirm the pride of the people of Kurdistan in their Islamic religion," explaining that "during the past fourteen centuries, our people wrote a history full of heroism and persevered in their religious and moral affiliation."
He stressed that "all attempts, intrusive movements, abnormal internal voices, and the plans of the enemies cannot erase this history, as it is an established fact of heroism."
