Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, during a meeting with a number of cadres in Sulaimani, said that : Throughout history, external and internal attempts to remove Islam from the Kurds have failed, because history has proved it Islam has served all different peoples and nations, including the Kurdish people, who are full of prominent scholars and leaders who were educated in Islam and the Islamic world is proud of them.
In another part of his speech, the Secretary-General of the KIU highlighted the situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and pointed out that the Kurdish leaders have not learned lessons from division and disunity which was the reason for the failure of most of the Kurdish revolutions and struggle.
At the end of the meeting, Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin highlighted the internal situation of the party and stressed that we hope that our members will continue on the path of their history and education of our generations with moderate Islamic education.
