Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahaddin Muhammad Bahaaddin and his accompanying delegation met, on Thursday, the second deputy of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, at the parliament building.
During the meeting, Secretary-General stressed the need for coordination between the blocs to preserve the political experience in Iraq in general, as well as joint work between the Kurdish blocs to defend the constitutional rights of the citizens of Kurdistan region.
The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi parliament expressed his happiness to meet the delegation of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, pointing to the role of the Union and the Secretary-General since the beginning of the political changes in 2003 and its effective role in building the new Iraq.
