Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, announced yesterday, during a meeting with a number of members of the General Shura and the Executive Council, and the leadership, officials and members of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bodies in Erbil, that the month of Ramadan is the month of forgiveness, self-reflection, and charity.
Secretary-General praised the efforts of the members of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bodies for their continued assistance to the needy, and the wealthy should make Ramadan an opportunity for charity and help the needy and the poor.
He added that those who hold power must serve the citizens by giving their salaries on time, and make the month of Ramadan an opportunity for reconciliation between them and the citizens.
