As part of his inspection visit to the Garmian area, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, held, on Friday, a meeting with a number of cadres and members of the Union in the area.
Secretary-General said in a speech that "our society today, more than ever, urgently needs the approach taken by the Union to protect humanity and combat corruption," stressing that "the Kurdistan Islamic Union is the defender of the identity of the authenticity of the Kurdistan people."
He added that "reform will only take place through reformers and not the corrupt, and the Kurdistan Islamic Union is working as it has been to produce reformed individuals," explaining that "people who promote evil will not be able to serve their people".
Secretary-General stressed that "the region is going through a sensitive stage and needs high skill and wisdom to get out of it with minimal losses."
