Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahauddin, on Thursday sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
In his message, Secretary-General said, "On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, I congratulate the Kurdish people, the Iraqis, all Muslims, and all humanity."
He added that "we celebrate this Eid al-Adha while our people suffer from harsh health, living, economic, social and political conditions," explaining that "the political differences between the poles of government in the Kurdistan Region have made matters worse".
"On this spiritual and sacred occasion, we hope that the parties of authority will work in a spirit of responsibility with successive crises, away from individual moods and partisan interests."
He indicated that "dear citizens in the Kurdistan region do not deserve this starvation and indifference towards them by officials," adding that "history told us to expect bad results due to the pressure of difficult living conditions."
