Secretary-General of Kurdistan Islamic Union, on Thursday, issued a statement marking the 26th anniversary of the announcement of Kurdistan Islamic Union.
In his statement, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahauddin said "We extend our congratulations to ourselves and all the cadres, members and supportive masses on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the announcement of Kurdistan Islamic Union."
In his statement, Secretary-General highlighted the entirety of what the KIU presented to the people and the country during 26 years, as well as the struggle of its cadres.
He also touched on the situation in Kurdistan region and the crises that afflict the people, such as the collapse of society and the emergence of several threats to societal peace, such as the spread of drugs, family disintegration, divorce, suicide, and killing women ... etc.
He stated that the phenomenon of youth migration, lack of national affiliation and high unemployment is also one of the reasons for the declining development in the country.
Salahuddin Muhammad Bahauddin confirmed that the eighth general conference of Kurdistan Islamic Union, held in late December, was an important station for reviewing the Union's decisions and positions.
