On the occasion of the eighth conference of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masroor Barzani, sent a message of congratulations to Salahaddin Muhammad Bahauddin on the occasion of his election as Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union and stated in the text of the message:
On the occasion of the eighth conference of the Kurdistan Islamic Union and electing you as Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, congratulate you ,the new leadership and all members of the Kurdistan Islamic Union. I hope that the success of the conference will be a reason for further work of the Kurdistan Islamic Union and all Kurdistan political parties in order to develop a unity of attitude and friendliness on national issues and serve citizens in the Kurdistan Region.
