Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union September 9, 2019 received the Presidency of the Parliament of Kurdistan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in the Kurdistan region, Iraq and the region.
Speaker of Kurdistan Parliament Rewaz Faiq stressed that the views of the political parties are necessary for them for writing a constitution for the Kurdistan region, because Kurdistan region can not be without a constitution any more.
The President of the Kurdistan Parliament indicated that the Kurdistan Parliament should play an important role in solving the outstanding problems between the Erbil and Baghdad.
Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahuddin Mohammed Bahauddin for his side stressed that the legislative authority should be the highest authority and play an effective role in monitoring all institutions in the region and expressed support for the Kurdistan Islamic Union for the reform project in the Kurdistan region.
Secretary-General also pointed out that the Constitution of the Kurdistan region must guarantee the rights of all components and religions in the Kurdistan Region and be a good start in the prosperity of the lives of citizens and the rule of law in the region.
