Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, on Saturday, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Salahaddin Muhammad Bahaauddin in his message said "On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I offer the congratulation to the entire Islamic nation in general and the Muslim people in Kurdistan and Iraq in particular".
"I hope that Eid will be a year of peace between members of society, political forces, parties of power and opposition," he said.
At the end of his message he stressed on "duties and demands in the new phase and it requires us a new position and a new performance," pointing out that "the people expect the authorities in the Kurdistan region will to secure their basic demands from salaries, electricity, services and the rule of law, freedom and human rights ..." .
